Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan (Punjabi, Urdu: فردوس عاشق اعوان)(born 11 January 1970), is a female Pakistani politician. She is serving as Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting.[1][2]
She elected first time in 2002 on the seat of National Assembly and succeeded in the party PML (Q). In 2008 she elected again by joining Pakistan Peoples Party on the seat of National Assembly and succeeded.[3] She is currently in the office of Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
She presented her resignation to Prime Minister Yousef Raza Gilani on 25th December 2011 during the Special Federal Cabinet Meeting. It was later declined by the Prime Minister after holding a one to one meeting with Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan..
